Karina Pavone is the executive director of Amigos For Kids, a non-profit in Miami, FL dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families and educating communities. She and her husband of 20 years are the parents of two young daughters, one with special needs. Karina received her Doctor in clinical psychology (ABD) and her M.S. in mental health counseling from Albizu University. She earned her B.S. in psychology from Florida International University. She was the first in her family to graduate college and she still owns her first psychology book, Psychology: A Way to Grow.
