Sofia Bork is Latina and employed as a Readiness Specialist with Truist. She is the founder of the Officer Edgar I. Flores Memorial Latinx Ethnobotanical Garden in the Sara J. Gonzalez Park, the first park in Georgia named after a person of Latinx descent.

She is a recipient of the “50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia” award for both 2019 and 2020, presented by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In her advocacy of equitable and accessible greenspaces, she received the Park Pride 2020 Inspiration Award. So a earned a Bachelors in English Writing and Publication from the University of North Georgia.
