Claudia Romo Edelman’s Program to Propel Hispanics into Senior-Level Positions
New York City, NY – July 17, 2024—Latinos are a driving force in the U.S. economy and cultural landscape. Yet, their representation in leadership positions remains extremely low, with less than 5% of executive officer positions in Fortune 500 firms. To bridge this gap and seize the opportunity as 20 million Boomers approach retirement in the next decade, Claudia Romo Edelman, Founder & CEO of the We Are All Human Foundation and The Hispanic Star, developed an online curriculum to provide Latino professionals with the skills, qualities, and confidence required for leadership. The Latino Leadership Academy is a comprehensive online training program endorsed by the Leadership Skills Institute and powered by Nancy Spears’ GenconnectU. The series includes four courses designed and taught by Claudia Romo Edelman:
Romo Edelman invited two accomplished Latinos to share their singular expertise in talent development. Dr. Robert Rodriguez, Founder and CEO of DRR Advisors and a leader in Latino talent initiatives and ERGs and Perla Tamez Casasnovas, Founder & CEO of Latina Empire, will guide participants through the process of self-realization.
“We designed a curriculum to empower Latinos and provide access to training for professionals at every stage of their journey. Our goal is to prepare Latinos to fulfill their potential and play the role the country needs us to play,” said Claudia Romo Edelman.“I believe the Latino Leadership Academy is pivotal for our community. It empowers Latinos to achieve personal and professional success. By doing so, we are laying the foundation for Hispanics to thrive and lead in all areas of life,” says Perla Tamez Casasnovas. The Latino Leadership Academy serves as a valuable tool for companies and organizations seeking to invest in developing their Latino workforce. A way to equip upcoming professionals with the insights, skills and strategies they will need to meet the challenges of the future. “In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, fostering inclusive and effective Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) is no longer optional; it's essential," says Dr. Robert Rodriguez. “My goal is to equip participants and companies with a deep understanding of the critical role ERGs play in fostering a truly diverse and successful workplace."To learn more about The Latino Leadership Academy and register for the program, visit https://genconnectu.com/hispanic-leadership.
