Andrea Gordillo, a cultural leader and proud daughter of Peruvian immigrants, resides in NYC's Lower East Side/East Village. As Chairperson of Manhattan’s Community Board 3 and a Council Candidate for District 2, she champions social policy. Over nearly a decade, Andrea has helmed cultural institutions like The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, fostering racial and economic justice. Passionate about dignified housing, cultural vitality, and climate resilience, she's built political influence in the district. Andrea actively supports local campaigns like the This Land is Ours Community Land Trust Initiative and serves on the New Majority's Young Leadership Council. A former academic worker at NYU, she advocates for union power.
